Job Title: AI / ML Engineer Duration: 4+ Months Contract to Hire Location: Walnut Creek, CA - Will Have to go onsite 3 days a week T-W-TH Top Skills: GenAI, Google Cloud, TensorFlow/PyTorch, Hugging Face, Python, SQL, BigQuery Bonus: Salesforce Agentforce AI, Vertex AI Work Split: 70% model development, 30% production/operations/integration Team Overview building out a new engineering team with a focus on Artificial intelligence. team consists of a few data scientists, a few software engineer generalists, and a project manager. Need help in Data Engineering within GCP and ML/AI Engineering. Project Description Use generative artificial intelligence and machine learning tools to create business solutions to improve Member experience and operational efficiency. This role will require independent learning and problem solving to succeed. Duties/Day to Day Overview Essential Functions • Design and build AI solutions using Google Cloud AI and Salesforce AI platforms (20%) • Train and fine tune models for performance, scalability and accuracy (15%) • Collaborate with stakeholders across MWG to understand business requirements and identify opportunities for AI-driven solutions (5%) • Evaluate training data for new solutions, and ensure high quality data sources (15%) • Work with IT engineering and IT operations teams to integrate and deploy new solutions into MWG business systems (10%) • Implement testing and ongoing monitoring programs so that deployed models improve reliability and accuracy over time (5%) • Pilot proofs of concept to test new model approaches and validate proposals brought by business partner (15%) • Be responsible for components of business partner-led projects and lead internal projects to improve processes and operations (5%) • Business intelligence analysis and reporting (5%) • Stay up-to-date on developments in generative AI and ML technology (5%) Top Requirements: (Must haves) Knowledge/Skills/Abilities • Strong mathematical and analytical capacity • Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills • Ability to work in an agile environment and work on multiple projects simultaneously • Proficient in relevant development tools such as Python, SQL • Experience with generative AI frameworks and machine learning libraries • Understanding of machine learning algorithms, natural language processing, and deep learning architectures • Experience and understanding of cloud technologies and implementations • Experience with business intelligence tools Education & Experience / Licenses & Certification • Bachelor's degree In Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field equivalent combination of education and experience. • 7+ years of relevant experience including data science, analytics, data engineering and/or software engineering • OR- 3+ years of experience in developing and deploying machine learning or AI models Additional Qualifications (Nice to Haves) Additional Notes Additional Notes from Qual Call: • The key to this role is AI/ML experience within he Google Cloud Landscape GCP experience is required and expectations are to have hands on experience with VertexAI. • The team is implementing Salesforce AgentForce and this role will require technical comparisons between GCP tools and Salesforce Tools (When you utilize each tool for building agents). They offer training on the Salesforce side, so that experience is not required, but would be extremely helpful. • DialogueFlowCX is another new tool they will be using – experience not required, but nice to have. Will be using this to create conversational agents. • GCP Certs are highly desirable. AI/ML Engineer (AI Specialist) • Experience with Google Vertex AI and understanding of pipeline builds. • Software development background is helpful. • Familiarity with GitHub and CI/CD processes. • Architecture and IAM experience on GCP is valuable. • Hands-on model development (about two-thirds of the role), plus solution design/integration. • Experience with frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, Hugging Face, and chatbot/GenAI projects preferred. • Salesforce Agent Force experience is a plus but not required.
