Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Akamai Edge Platform Engineer to manage, configure, and optimize our content delivery network (CDN) and edge computing solutions. The ideal candidate will leverage Akamai's suite of products, including EdgeWorkers and Edge DNS, to ensure exceptional performance, security, and reliability of our digital properties for a global user base.
Required Qualifications
• Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in web development or a post-implementation configuration engineer role, with specific experience in Akamai Delivery and Edge Compute solutions.
• Technical Skills: Strong understanding of standard internet protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, BGP), web performance optimization principles, and CDN technologies.
• Programming/Scripting: Proficiency in JavaScript/Node.js (specifically for EdgeWorkers), Python, or similar scripting languages.
