Immediate Contract role to join a leading edge consulting team: Alteryx and Excel modelling for a global consulting firm. Market sizing, real stakes. Market sizing models are only as good as the thinking behind them. Our client needs an expert contractor who treats modelling as a craft, not a task. They are a global consulting firm, who require support in market sizing and forecasting for major clients across professional services and software. The role sits within an extended global delivery team advising senior IT and business leaders. The work • Build and maintain market sizing and forecasting models in Alteryx and advanced Excel • Convert primary and secondary research into structured, defensible data points • Use AI tooling and databases to extract signal from annual reports, filings, and other qualitative sources • Shape the dimensions, segments, and verticals that drive IT software and services performance across geographies • Translate client requirements into a modelling approach and deliver with minimal supervision What the contractor needs to bring • Two to five years hands on Alteryx (Join, Formula, Filter, data cleansing and transformation) • Strong advanced Excel: lookups, pivots, subtotals, filters • Proven market sizing and forecasting: topline builds, granularity, growth rate tuning, normalisation, and QA against the narrative • Client delivery experience with international clients and globally distributed teams • Clear communication: able to explain a modelling decision to a non modeller • Alteryx Designer Core Certification preferred, not required Who tends to do well People who ask why a number moves, not just whether it ties out.
