Role description
Contract: 12 Months+ Contract
Maintains GIS system stability by troubleshooting technical issues and supporting user access and functionality. They ensure applications run reliably and coordinate with other IT areas to keep system up to standards and operating as expected. Without this role, incidents will take longer to resolve, disrupting users during a highly complex system transformation to the Utility Network. Reduced support capacity increases the risk of system outages and delays that could jeopardize the Utility Network migration timeline.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Analyst EIT Program/Sys 2 has intermediate experience in Energy/Utilities Field Operations Applications Support β Geographical Information System (GIS), Work Management (ARM) and Mobile Data System (MDS), application development, configuration management, system administration, hardware support, software support, maintenance, security, troubleshooting. Responsible for solution design, development, integration and enhancements to meet the business needs and project requirements. Also, responsible for documenting and developing operational procedures and provides end user support.
Tasks and Responsibilities
β’ Support Work Management (ARM) system to provide a safe, reliable, and affordable electric and gas service to the customers.
β’ Install, Configure, Test, and Implement ARM applications and apply the latest patches in Windows, Linux, and Citrix environments.
β’ Support Utility Field Operations Applications β Geographical Information System (GIS), Work Management Information System (WMIS) and Mobile Data System (MDS) to provide a safe, reliable, and affordable electric and gas service to the customers.
β’ Install, Configure, Test and Implement GIS, WMIS and MDS applications and apply the latest patches in Windows, Linux, and Citrix environments.
β’ Design and develop enterprise applications that will be used across various business units to provide and maintain electric and gas service in a safe and reliable manner.
β’ Develop functional and technical design documents based on business process flow.
β’ Develop, test, promote the code and configuration from the lower environments to Production with assistance from other team members.
β’ Provide end user application support for Electric and Gas Business Areas.
β’ Analyzes and troubleshoots application/system issues and provides resolution.
β’ Work with Infrastructure team in GIS, WMIS, and MDS server builds, OS patching, hardware tuning and health monitoring.
β’ Work with Database Administrator to set up database backups, patches, refreshes, schema changes, etc.
β’ Work with functional teams to integrate GIS, WMIS, and MDS applications with other enterprise applications (e.g. OMS and SAP etc.)
β’ Work with business areas to understand their requirements and complete the assigned tasks.
β’ Assist other team members in operational activities.
β’ Performs other project and process improvement initiatives as assigned.
β’ On-call rotation is required to support 24/7 environment and is also expected to be able to work outside business hours to support corporate needs.
Minimum Qualifications
β’ Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science or related field from an accredited university; proven working experience may be used in lieu of degree.
β’ Experience as a programmer/analyst in developing and supporting enterprise solutions.
β’ Experience with enterprise software installation, configuration, administration and applying patches in Windows/UNIX environment.
β’ Experience in troubleshooting and performance tuning skills.
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
β’ Well-developed written and verbal communication skills for interaction with all levels of personnel.
β’ Ability to work in a team environment, coordinating with other areas to achieve goals and objectives.
β’ Ability to work in a variety of locations such as the field, construction centers and the main office.
β’ Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Pointβ¦).
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Experience in developing mobile and/or web applications.
β’ Experience with ESRIβs ArcGIS and Schneider Electricβs ArcFM suite of products including ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS Dashboards, ArcFM Designer, ArcFM Mobile, ArcFM Web, and Utility Network.
β’ Experience with CGIβs ARM Work Management System.
β’ Experience with ABBβs Service Suite for Field Mobility Operations.
β’ Experience in integrating with SAP/ERP.
β’ Experience with Citrix, Windows and UNIX Shell scripting, Python, Oracle PL/SQL, ArcGIS SDE, ESRI Geometric and Utility Networks.
