Location: Trenton, NJ (Hybrid - 2 days onsite per week)

Note: Only local New Jersey candidates who can interview in person and work onsite twice a week will be considered. No relocation candidates.
Position Overview
The Application Tech Specialist - Drupal QA will support pre-release testing and quality assurance activities for Drupal-based websites. This role requires strong experience with Drupal 10/11, automated testing using Playwright, and hands-on manual testing. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to identify and mitigate defects and security vulnerabilities within a Drupal environment.

Required:
Bachelorβs degree

Acquia Drupal Developer Certification
Required Skills & Qualifications
4+ years of experience in Drupal site building, features, and theming
4+ years of hands-on experience with Drupal 10 and 11 ecosystem (Git, Composer, Twig)
4+ years of experience using Playwright for automated testing
Strong understanding of Drupal architecture and testing strategies
Experience with Drupal UI development, including UX, theme development, and customization
Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using Jira and GitHub Projects
4+ years of experience in manual testing
6+ years of experience maintaining and updating test suites aligned with code changes
6+ years of experience with Symfony and Composer workflows
Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills
Ability to write secure code and tests following Drupal coding standards and security guidelines
Preferred Skills
Experience with Acquia tools and platforms, including:
Acquia Cloud
Cloud IDE
Acquia Pipelines
BLT
DDEV
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain automated and manual test scripts for Drupal websites
Execute pre-release testing and validate functionality, performance, and security
Keep automated test suites updated with ongoing code changes and deployments
Troubleshoot issues and provide actionable recommendations for resolution
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, develop, test, deploy, and support Drupal applications
Participate in code quality checks and deployment processes
Communicate with management and stakeholders to understand business requirements
Implement accessibility best practices based on current published standards
Work with cloud vendors and infrastructure teams to manage cloud-hosted environments and repositories
Perform code updates to ensure stability, performance, and security
Document test cases, defects, and reproduction steps clearly for development teams
Mentor team members on Drupal best practices and efficient testing approaches
Ensure all applications comply with organizational information security standards
Stay current with Drupal technologies, trends, and security updates
