Our client is seeking to hire a talented Big Data Developer for a long term contract assignment in Columbia SC. Seeking developer with big data and cloud technologies experience.
Role is hybrid - 3 days onsite, 2 days remote. Candidate can expect to be onsite for training.
Authorized US Worker- No C2C , Direct hire W2 hourly contract.
Responsibilities
β’ Troubleshoot and recommend technical solutions for customer issues related to software setup and configuration pertaining to SCDOR cloud applications and other custom SharePoint on-premises and cloud solutions
β’ Have expertise and experience with working with Power Apps platform to deliver business change
β’ Design, develop, and implement GenAI-driven solutions using Copilot and Copilot Studio
β’ Experience of working in both Agile and Waterfall development models and able to recommend difference approaches based on the specific project outcomes
β’ Provide technical support for SharePoint and PowerApps users, including troubleshooting issues and providing solutions
Requirements
β’ Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or additional experience.
β’ 6 years of application development, systems testing or other job related experience required.
β’ Experience in big data technologies
β’ Experience in cloud-based technologies AWS Services - State Machines, CDK, Glue, TypeScript, CloudWatch, Lambda, CloudFormation, S3, Glacier Archival Storage, DataSync, Lake Formation, AppFlow, RDS PostgreSQL, Aurora, Athena, Amazon MSK, Apache Iceberg, Spark, Python
β’ Preferred experience: AWS Redshift, Databricks- delta Lake, Unity catalog, Data Engineering and processing using Databricks, AI and Machine Learning Amazon Bedrock, AWS Sagemaker, AWS Sagemaker Unified Studio, R Studio / Posit Workbench, R Shiny /Posit Connect, Posit Package Manager, AWS Data Firehose, Kafka, Hive, Hue, Oozie, Sqoop, Git/Git Actions, IntelliJ, Scala
