BSA / Business Intelligence Analyst (Financial Services)

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • In collaboration with the Product Owner prioritize, develop and accept user stories to establish and enhance Actuarial Data Repository. • Partnering with Product Managers and Actuarial stakeholders to understand customer and business needs and translate into requirements/user stories. • Writes up stories/requirements for Agile POD/Build Team(s) and Annuity Data Repository enhancement work • Submits User Acceptance Criteria and completes User Acceptance Testing • Help drive adoption and business intelligence for Actuarial Data Repository • Continuously prioritizing the product backlog to ensure that the Agile software development team is focused on the highest value work • Coordinating with the Product Owners and team members to manage dependencies across teams • Surveys upstream data providers and downstream data customers to develop understanding of Life and Annuity data is used • Assists in development of data processes and reconciliation reports that are efficient, tractable, and instill confidence in the integrity of results for downstream stakeholders and auditors • As needed, performing business analyst and QA support • Proactively identify and recommend process improvements that significantly reduce workloads and/or maintains/improves quality • Provide subject matter expertise to clarify development requirements • Maintain data dictionary and follow established data governance policies. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • 4 Year/Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Design, Human Factors, Computer Science or related discipline (Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology) or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) in Accounting (Minimum Required). • 5 – 7+ Years of experience in business systems analysis that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required) • 3 + Years of data analytics, data mining, and/or reporting experience that directly aligns to the responsibilities of this position. (Required). • Mastery of the following to query normalized relationship data and dimensional warehouse data: MS Excel, SQL and MySQL. • At least 1 year of experience with prototyping/mock-ups/storyboards.
