Job Title : Sr. Business Analyst
Location: Boston, MA
Duration : 12+ Months Contract (W2 or 1099)
Hourly Pay: $50/HR on W2 (or) $55/HR on 1099
Job Description:
Business analyst acts as a bridge between business needs and effective solutions by analyzing current processes, identifying pain points, defining requirements, and recommending improvements that align with organizational goals.
Roles and responsibilities:
Business analysts gather requirements, conduct research, and provide actionable insights to solve business problems.
They collaborate with multiple teams to ensure project goals meet business needs.
A key task is documenting and presenting findings through reports and presentations.
Business analysts help companies implement solutions that drive efficiency and profitability.
They work closely with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
Involved in creating business requirements document, functional and non-functional requirements.
Designed and developed test cases.
Communicated with Business Users to identify needs, define project scope, and detail functional and Non-functional requirements.
Gathered and analyses business requirements by facilitating JAD Sessions and PI Planning.
Worked as a liaison between the IT and Business team. Was instrumental in providing the issue resolution to the IT team by working closely with the business.
Independently investigate, diagnose, and resolve product inconsistencies and defects, and propose product improvements.
Key activities:
Conducting strategic business analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
Planning and monitoring projects, including resource allocation and cost efficiency.
Identifying automation opportunities to streamline workflows.
Providing training and support to end-users after solution implementation.
Performing variance analysis to understand how performance aligns with goals.
Identifying and managing risks that could impact project success.
Technical skills:
Methodologies, Agile (Scrum, SAFe), Waterfall, Data Analysis & validation, Power BI, Tableau, SQL,SSIS, Project Management Tools, JIRA, Azure DevOps (ADO), Confluence, Rally, Test Management Tools, ALM, TestRail, Zephyr creating test cases, test scripts, and performing various types of testing are valuable.
