Business Analyst - Infrastructure

Business Analyst Hybrid / 3 days week London Inside ir35 6 mths Key Skills & Experience Essential • Strong BA experience in IT infrastructure, CMDB or ITSM environments • Experience working with asset data, data models and reconciliation • Ability to define: • Requirements • Data mappings Key Responsibilities Data Model & Requirements • Define asset management requirements, including: • Asset coverage • Data attributes (e.g. ownership, lifecycle, backup status) • Reporting needs • Develop a standardised hardware taxonomy (device classification model) • Define the target CMDB data model and mandatory attributes Data Analysis & Reconciliation • Analyse asset data across: • Ivanti CMDB • SolarWinds • Other infrastructure sources • Lead data reconciliation activities across multiple systems • Identify gaps and define data enrichment approach Integration & Enrichment • Define data ingestion and mapping requirements • Support: • Attribute mapping • Discovery / SNMP-derived data alignment • Ensure consistency between source systems and Ivanti Desirable • Experience with Ivanti, ServiceNow CMDB or similar • Understanding of: • Infrastructure platforms (server, network, storage) • Discovery tools (e.g. SolarWinds) • Exposure to IT Asset Management / lifecycle management Key Characteristics • Outcome-driven, not process-heavy • Comfortable working in data-heavy environments • Able to work across multiple teams and drive delivery • Pragmatic and able to balance detail with pace
