Role description
Job Title: Senior Business Analyst – EDMS Implementation Work Type: Hybrid (Onsite 3 days/week) Location: Saint Paul, MN Duration: Long-term contract Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to support the implementation of an Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) within a large public-sector environment. This role will act as the lead analyst and integration coordinator, working across multiple divisions to ensure successful deployment, integration, and user adoption of the EDMS solution. The Business Analyst will lead requirements discovery, process analysis, and integration activities while collaborating closely with internal teams, vendors, and technical partners. The role also supports testing, validation, and project planning efforts to ensure a smooth and effective implementation. Key Responsibilities Requirements Gathering & Process Analysis β€’ Lead stakeholder pre-discovery sessions to understand business processes and forms. β€’ Analyze and document current-state workflows. β€’ Partner with vendors and technical teams to define and document future-state processes. β€’ Capture complete business requirements and identify gaps for future project phases. Integration Design & Coordination β€’ Coordinate configuration and data requests for each business process and form. β€’ Develop detailed integration specifications for inbound and outbound system integrations. β€’ Define data elements, success and failure criteria, and exception handling. β€’ Collaborate on integration strategy, timelines, and execution. β€’ Oversee integration activities to ensure alignment and successful delivery. Testing & Validation β€’ Develop high-level test scenarios covering success and failure paths. β€’ Facilitate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and obtain stakeholder sign-off. β€’ Support validation of processes, forms, and integrations. Project Planning & Support β€’ Assist in creating and maintaining: β€’ Test Plans β€’ Communication Plans β€’ Training Plans β€’ Deployment Plans β€’ Translate technical concepts into clear business language. β€’ Present complex information in a clear and concise manner. β€’ Support knowledge transfer activities across teams. Required Qualifications β€’ 8+ years of experience as an IT Business Analyst. β€’ At least two long-term (1+ year) Business Analyst engagements. β€’ Strong experience with enterprise-level systems and business process improvement. β€’ Proven ability to lead requirements gathering for complex, multi-stakeholder projects. β€’ Experience working in fast-paced environments with competing priorities. β€’ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
