• • • W2 Contract Only – No C2C – No 3rd Parties • • • Summary The Ash Group is hiring a Business Data Analyst for our client (a leading telecommunications provider delivering high-speed fiber internet). This is a 5-month Remote contract role offering a premium pay rate of $82.00 per hour. We are looking for a data storyteller who can bridge the gap between complex technical data and executive-level decision-making. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the Power BI ecosystem, capable of handling end-to-end ETL processes and delivering high-impact presentations to senior leadership. What You’ll Be Doing • Lead End-to-End ETL processes using Power Query to extract, clean, and transform data from diverse sources for loading into Power BI. • Design and maintain sophisticated, interactive Power BI dashboards that visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and business trends. • Perform deep-dive data analysis to identify patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for operational improvement. • Develop Executive-Level Presentations that go beyond charts, providing written commentary and strategic recommendations for senior management. • Utilize SQL for complex data querying to ensure the underlying data models are robust and accurate. • Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to translate vague business questions into concrete, technical reporting solutions. • Ensure absolute data integrity and consistency across all high-visibility reporting suites. What We’re Looking For • Professional Experience: 5+ years of experience in data analysis, Business Intelligence (BI), or a reporting-focused role. • Technical Mastery: Proven expertise in Power BI development and strong proficiency in Power Query (M language) for data transformation. • Data Modeling: A solid understanding of data modeling principles, including star schemas and DAX. • Querying Skills: High proficiency in SQL for extracting and manipulating data. • Communication: Exceptional ability to articulate technical data concepts to non-technical audiences and senior leadership. • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field. • Bonus Points: Experience with other visualization tools like Tableau or Qlik Sense.
