Role: Business Data AnalystsLocation: Multiple Locations (Hybrid Work Environment)Rate: $50/hrExperience Required: 13+ Years Position Summary: We are seeking an experienced Business Data Analyst with a strong background in reference data management, data governance, and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline data processes, ensure compliance with governance standards, and provide meaningful insights through reports and dashboards. This role is instrumental in supporting regulatory requirements like SOX and SDLC and ensuring data consistency across legacy and new systems. Key Responsibilities:Reference Data Management Identify and define reference data entities across systems and business functions. Collaborate with the Data Governance team to assign data ownership for key entities. Partner with subject matter experts and data owners to document entity attributes and approved values. Perform detailed analysis of reference data in legacy systems. Create and maintain mapping between legacy data and newly defined reference data entities (RDEs). Conduct data profiling and document metadata using OvalEdge or similar tools. Data Discovery & Governance Work closely with governance stakeholders and business stewards to identify and classify Critical Data Elements (CDEs). Define and document data quality rules and acceptable thresholds. Help establish and document data error-handling procedures in collaboration with data governance and business teams. Ensure alignment with governance frameworks, particularly around data standards and definitions. SOX/SDLC Compliance Support Identify key data elements involved in SOX and SDLC controls. Ensure RDEs are clearly defined and relevant data sources are properly documented to meet compliance standards. Provide ongoing support for ad hoc requests related to SOX or SDLC compliance initiatives. Business Intelligence & Reporting Work with business stakeholders to identify essential reports and dashboards needed for decision-making and operations. Gather and document business requirements for reporting. Source and analyze relevant datasets to support reporting needs. Design and develop dashboards and reports that fulfill business objectives.
