Title: Business Intelligence Architect (MUST HAVE MIGRATION FROM POWERBI to Tableau)
Contract Duration: 6 months+
Location: Onsite, 5 days per week in one of the following offices: Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, New York, San Francisco, or Seattle
Rate: Open
We will only be considering candidates w/Migration Background from PowerBI to Tableau .. ideally in a financial services client(but finance not mandatory)
About the Role
A leading Investment Bank is seeking a Business Intelligence Architect to provide technical leadership for a strategic migration project from Power BI to Tableau. This is a high-impact role where you will design, oversee, and execute the migration roadmap, ensuring seamless transition of enterprise reporting and analytics capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Lead the end-to-end migration of BI assets from Power BI to Tableau, including dashboards, reports, and data models.
β’ Define and implement best practices for Tableau architecture, governance, and performance optimization.
β’ Partner with business stakeholders, data engineers, and analysts to ensure requirements are met during migration.
β’ Conduct gap analysis between Power BI and Tableau capabilities, recommending solutions to maintain or enhance functionality.
β’ Establish standards for data visualization, security, and scalability in Tableau.
β’ Provide technical mentorship to BI developers and analysts throughout the project.
β’ Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to data integration, visualization, and performance.
β’ Deliver clear documentation and knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Required Skills & Experience
β’ Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Architect or senior BI technical lead.
β’ Strong expertise in both Power BI and Tableau, with hands-on migration experience preferred.
β’ Deep understanding of BI architecture, data modeling, ETL processes, and enterprise data platforms.
β’ Experience in financial services or investment banking environments is highly desirable.
β’ Strong communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
β’ Ability to work onsite full-time in one of the listed office locations.
Contract Details
β’ Duration: Initial 6-month contract with potential extension.
β’ Rate: Open, commensurate with experience.
β’ Schedule: Full-time, 5 days onsite.
