Role description
BI Developer Hybrid - St. Louis, MO Terms: Contract through the end of 2026 Rate: $65-$72/hr W2 (No C2C or 1099 is available for this position) We’re looking for a BI Developer to help design, build, and support analytics solutions that power business decision-making. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys owning dashboards end-to-end, working closely with stakeholders, and building scalable data models in a modern cloud data environment. What You’ll Do β€’ Design, develop, and maintain robust data models that support complex business reporting and analytics needs β€’ Build and enhance Tableau dashboards and reports that deliver clear, actionable insights β€’ Work with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery and/or Amazon Redshift), managing large datasets and optimizing query performance β€’ Develop and support ETL/ELT processes, ensuring data accuracy and integrity from source systems through reporting β€’ Troubleshoot issues holistically across the analytics stack β€” from the database layer through Tableau and downstream consumers β€’ Create automations and custom solutions to improve data processing, reporting efficiency, and scalability β€’ Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective data solutions β€’ Operate independently on moderately complex initiatives while managing priorities in an Agile environment What You’ll Bring β€’ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience β€’ 3–5 years of experience in BI development, analytics engineering, or a similar role β€’ Strong experience with data modeling for analytics and reporting use cases β€’ Hands-on experience with BigQuery and/or Amazon Redshift β€’ Proficiency in Tableau for dashboard development and data visualization β€’ Experience building or supporting ETL/ELT pipelines and extracting data from multiple source systems β€’ Solid understanding of database concepts, performance tuning, and maintenance β€’ Strong communication skills and comfort working as a bridge between technical teams and business users Nice to Have β€’ Experience using the Tableau REST API for automation or integrations β€’ Exposure to database upgrades, patches, or platform improvements β€’ Agile experience (Scrum) and familiarity with JIRA and Confluence β€’ A proactive, self-starter mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities Why Join β€’ High visibility role with real impact on business decisions β€’ Opportunity to own analytics solutions end-to-end β€’ Modern cloud data stack with room to influence and improve how data is delivered β€’ Collaborative team environment that values clear communication and thoughtful problem-solvi
