Senior Software/Data Engineer (cloud) – Contract £95–£115 per hour via umbrella company London (Hybrid: 2–3 days/week in-office) 6-month contract | Extension likely into 2026 Join a dynamic and forward-thinking team on a large-scale data migration programme, helping to move a 500GB+ data system from on-premises to the cloud. You’ll play a key part in redesigning an enterprise data platform using cutting-edge technologies and scalable engineering practices. What You’ll Be Doing: • Lead and execute data migration processes from legacy systems to modern cloud infrastructure. • Work in a cross-functional team of 10, split between technical execution and process analysis. • Develop robust, production-ready data pipelines using Python and shell scripting. • Leverage tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Delta Lake formats for efficient DevOps and data handling. • Collaborate in an agile environment to identify bottlenecks and streamline data flows.
