Role description
At Crossing Hurdles, we work as a referral partner. We refer candidates to Mercor that collaborates with the world’s leading AI research labs to build and train cutting-edge AI models. Organization: Mercor Position: Python Coding Expert Referral Partner: Crossing Hurdles Type: Hourly Contract Compensation: $100/hour Location: Remote Commitment: 10-40 hours/week, flexible and asynchronous Responsibilities: (Training support will be provided) β€’ Review and assess Python coding submissions for technical accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to best practices. β€’ Evaluate problem-solving approaches, algorithm design, and code structure. β€’ Provide clear, actionable feedback to candidates on code performance and quality. β€’ Work with internal teams to ensure grading consistency and rubric integrity. β€’ Stay current on modern software engineering principles, Python frameworks, and performance optimization techniques. Requirements: β€’ Pass Vendor Screening and RLHF Exam. β€’ BS, MS, or PhD with a significant focus on Computer Science (no self-taught programmers). β€’ Expert in Python programming. β€’ English expert with excellent comprehension and communication skills. β€’ Excellent at high school–level math. β€’ Expert at fact-checking information across multiple domains (medical, legal, financial, technical, etc.) using public sources. β€’ Excellent writing skills and attention to detail. β€’ Significant experience using Large Language Models (LLMs). Preferred Qualifications: β€’ Prior Software Engineering (SWE) work experience. β€’ Additional language expertise a plus: C#, Java, SQL, C++, TypeScript, PHP, C, Go, Bash, PowerShell, Rust, R.
