Role description

Organization: Mercor Position: ICPC Code Expert Type: Hourly Contract Compensation: $52.5/hour Location: Remote Commitment: Part-time (10-40 hours/week), flexible and asynchronous Role Responsibilities (Training support will be provided) β€’ Design, author, and validate ICPC-level algorithmic coding problems for AI benchmarking β€’ Implement ground-truth reference solutions in C++ or Python, ensuring efficiency and correctness β€’ Develop test cases and evaluation scripts for solution verification and reliability β€’ Validate problem difficulty and solution soundness through structured testing and peer review β€’ Maintain high standards of originality, quality, and data integrity, avoiding defects and duplication β€’ Collaborate with technical QA teams to calibrate difficulty and ensure annotation standards β€’ Document problem design rationale, constraints, and methodologies Requirements β€’ BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field β€’ Proven experience as ICPC/IOI competitor, coach, or problem setter β€’ Advanced proficiency with C++ and/or Python β€’ Deep knowledge of algorithms, data structures, and competitive coding problem design β€’ Experience developing or validating programming competition problems and assessments β€’ Excellent written communication skills Preferred Qualifications β€’ Experience in AI model evaluation, LLM reasoning, or technical annotation β€’ Familiarity with automated testing frameworks, judge systems, or coding evaluation pipelines β€’ Understanding of technical QA, benchmarking, and difficulty calibration β€’ Background in statistical testing and rigorous evaluation methods Application Process: 1.
