Role description
Job Summary: The Operational Excellence Specialist supports continuous improvement initiatives across site operations, working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams. This role focuses on driving cultural transformation, improving line performance, conducting time studies, analyzing operational data, and sustaining core operational excellence foundations. The position requires strong follow-up, communication, change management, and facilitation skills. Key Responsibilities: • Support the implementation of business excellence initiatives and foster a culture of continuous improvement. • Serve as a change agent by motivating teams, driving engagement, and promoting a collaborative environment. • Identify, lead, and facilitate process improvement projects, workshops, and training sessions. • Conduct time studies, root cause analysis, and data evaluation to improve material flow, production capacity, and process efficiency. • Create process documentation, line balance sheets, and performance insights based on operational data. • Manage and sustain operational excellence foundations, including 5S, visual factory practices, and GMP standards. • Assist in ensuring audit readiness and compliance for environmental health and safety activities. • Support leadership to ensure employee participation in operational excellence activities and training programs. • Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and address line performance issues in real time. Required Qualifications: • Two-year or four-year degree. • Two to five years of relevant experience in operational excellence, process improvement, or related areas. • Strong follow-up, communication, change management, and facilitation skills. • Ability to work with large sets of data, including collection, visualization, and analysis. • Experience performing time studies and understanding process flow. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Power BI, Excel Macros, SQL, or PowerApps. • Prior hands-on experience working in distribution, warehouse, production, or manufacturing environments. • Knowledge of operational excellence tools and methodologies.
