Data Analyst 5Job Summary: Talent Software Services is in search of a Data Analyst for a contract position in Redmond, WA. The opportunity will be seven months with a strong chance for a long-term extension.Position Summary: The main function of a Data Analyst is to coordinate changes to computer databases, test, and implement the database, applying knowledge of database management systems.Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities:Work with senior management, technical and client teams in order to determine data requirements, business data implementation approaches, best practices for advanced data manipulation, storage and analysis strategiesWrite and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of the database to the management system or direct others in coding descriptionsDesign, implement, automate and maintain large-scale enterprise data ETL processesModify existing databases and database management systems, and/or direct programmers and analysts to make changesTest programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modificationsThis is the Business Intelligence Analytics team. Their primary function is to provide business intelligence to target audiences using Power BI as the main communication mechanism.This role will contribute to gaining access to multiple data sources that are not readily available, performing data validation to ensure accuracy, and transforming validated data into meaningful Power BI dashboards and reports for stakeholders.Performance is measured:On-time delivery.Quality defect.SLA compliance.Responsiveness to change orders and issue resolution.Qualifications: Strong experience in Power BI dashboard development and maintenance.Solid understanding of data validation, ETL processes, and multiple data platforms.Prefer Hands-on skills with Power Apps and Power Automate for automation.Ability to collaborate across technical teams and adapt to changing systems.Power BI Development 8+ years (dashboard design, DAX, performance optimization).Data Validation & ETL Processes 8+ years (multi-platform data integration).Power Apps / Power Automate (preferred) 5+ years (workflow automation and app building).Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or a related field required10+ years of applicable experience requiredPreferred:Experience with database technologiesKnowledge of the ETL processKnowledge of at least one scripting languageStrong written and oral communication skillsStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated history of successDesire to be working with data and helping businesses make better data-driven decisionsIf this job is a match for your background, we would be honoured to receive your application!Providing consulting opportunities to TALENTed people since 1987, we offer a host of opportunities, including contract, contract to hire, and permanent placement.
