Role description
Job Title: Power BI Developer Duration: Multi-year contract Location: 5 days onsite in Atlanta, GA Start Date: ASAP Interview Process: 1 & done via MS Teams next week Day to day: • Database Administrator qualities for the Oracle system • Extracting data from data source (Mostly Oracle ERP and some SQL Server) • Pushing data into of Tableau/PowerBI using ETL and general SQL Queries. • Creating custom Dashboards/Reports for all divisions (HR, Finance, etc) • Meeting with stakeholders in all divisions to take in requirements and create reports/dashboards for them. Responsibilities: • Monitor the state of county databases for optimal performance, reliability and resource consumption. • Implement disaster-recovery procedures and policies. • Provide for and implement database backups. • Implement User and Data Security is a important function of this position. • Assign users to database sources and determine appropriate levels of data access to said databases. • Ensure data security through standard server security best practices. • Incident diagnosis and resolution is a duty that will be implemented. • Monitor Help desk for incident and communicate with application and infrastructure staff to resolve incidents. • Assist application staff and implementation teams with incident diagnosis and resolution. • Database management reports will be used to review database configuration. Requirements: • 5-7+ years of Oracle back-end skills, Oracle administration, and Oracle ERP • ETL, SQL and PL/SQL Querying skills • Experience moving data from Oracle ERP to Tableau and Power BI • Experience building Tableau and PowerBI reports and dashboard from scratch • Experience migrating databases to the cloud (no specific cloud required and open to AWS/Azure/GCP) • Extensive knowledge of database concepts, and Sequel Query Language (SQL) • Data modeling concepts knowledge, and experience with modern Database such as MS SQL • Server or Oracle. Knowledge of Oracle databases and application servers • Familiarity with performance tuning, optimization, backups, restores, and recovery models • Great attitude and communication skills is a MUST - This person will be interacting with executive stakeholders Contract/Contract-to-Hire Roles: Compensation: $45/hr to $50/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
