Data Architect

Title: Senior Azure Data Architect Location: Remote- Occasional travel required Duration: 12+ Months Contract Interview Process: In-Person Client Interview Key Responsibilities • Architect and deliver end-to-end data solutions on Azure, covering ingestion, storage, processing, and analytics layers. • Lead the setup, configuration, and optimization of Databricks environments and ensure seamless integration with Azure services. • Collaborate closely with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into robust architectural designs. • Implement and enforce best practices for data security, governance, privacy, and regulatory compliance. • Optimize data pipelines and workloads for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. • Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to engineering and development teams. • Stay current with emerging Azure and Databricks technologies to continuously improve the data ecosystem. Must-Have Qualifications • Proven experience architecting and deploying large-scale data solutions on Microsoft Azure. • Deep technical expertise with Databricks and its integration across Azure services. • Strong understanding of data warehousing, data lake architectures, and real-time streaming frameworks. • Hands-on proficiency with SQL, Python, Scala, and/or Apache Spark. • Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL, and Azure Synapse Analytics. • Solid background in cloud security, data governance, and compliance frameworks. Nice-to-Have Skills • Prior experience in the Banking or Financial Services domain. • Exposure to machine learning or AI workloads within data platforms. • Familiarity with additional cloud providers such as AWS or Google Cloud. • Relevant technical certifications. Preferred Certifications • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate • Databricks Certified Data Engineer (or equivalent)
