Data Engineer

This position requires a mix of hands-on data engineering, Python and SQL development, cloud platform expertise, and cross-functional collaboration to support AI/ML workflows, data pipelines, and analytics for clinical, imaging, discovery, and operational solutions. As an AI Data Engineer, you will: • Build and manage scalable, robust data pipelines to support AI/ML and analytics workflows. • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, engineers, and product owners to define requirements and deliver solutions. • Implement data transformations using dbt Core and maintain code quality with SQL/YAML linters and GitHub Actions. • Work with cloud platforms (AWS preferred), Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure to support AI/ML pipelines. • Solve core data issues such as missing, duplicate, or incorrect data, and provide performance-tuning solutions. • Participate in the full data lifecycle from exploration and production to ongoing support. • Stay current on emerging technologies, including Generative AI, to optimize data engineering workflows. You will be a good fit for the AI Data Engineer role if you have: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field • 4+ years of Data Engineering experience • Strong expertise in SQL, Python, and R • Experience with cloud platforms, big data frameworks (Databricks, Spark, Delta Lake), and dbt Core • Experience building robust, fault-tolerant data pipelines across various stages of the lifecycle • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code tools, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud object storage (e.g., S3) • Ability to collaborate in fast-paced, cross-functional environments and manage multiple priorities Nice-to-Haves: • Experience with data analysis and machine learning workflows • Experience building and deploying web applications and APIs • Certifications in Data Engineering, AI/ML, or related topics About Market Street Talent We are a specialized staffing and consulting firm focused on IT positions.
