Data Engineer (AWS) – Contract – £700 per day – Outside IR35 Location: 2 days onsite in London Duration: 6 months (likely extension) We’re looking for a Data Engineer with a strong focus on testing and performance development to join an exciting AWS-based programme. This role will play a key part in defining and implementing QA and performance testing strategies across cloud data services. Key Responsibilities • Develop and execute QA and testing strategies for data pipelines and AWS infrastructure. • Implement automated testing frameworks and performance benchmarking tools. • Integrate QA processes into infrastructure delivery pipelines (including IAM role validation audit services). • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure high-quality, scalable data solutions. • Drive performance testing and continuous improvement of AWS-based systems. Skills & Experience • Strong AWS experience (data services, IAM, infrastructure automation). • Proven expertise in performance development testing and QA strategy design. • Hands-on experience with automated testing frameworks and performance benchmarking tools. • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure-as-code concepts. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on quality and reliability.
