Overview: We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with strong experience in Power BI, AWS Redshift/PostgreSQL, and AWS Aurora MySQL. This role focuses primarily on maintaining and optimizing existing data solutions, not building new ETL pipelines. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in troubleshooting data issues, enhancing performance of existing systems, and supporting end users in navigating and utilizing data tools. Key Responsibilities: • Maintain and optimize Power BI data models and datasets • Support performance tuning and maintenance of AWS Redshift views • Troubleshoot data inconsistencies using SQL across AWS Aurora MySQL, Redshift, and potentially DocumentDB • Assist business users in building basic Power BI reports and understanding data sources • Redesign inefficient Power BI datasets for improved performance and usability • Participate in the implementation and testing of Zero-ETL integration between AWS Aurora and Redshift • Trace and diagnose reporting issues by following data through multiple systems (Aurora, DocumentDB, SQL Server) • Contribute to ongoing performance tuning of data warehouse views used by Power BI Preferred Skills & Experience: • Senior-level expertise in Power BI • Proficiency with AWS Redshift (PostgreSQL) and AWS Aurora MySQL • Strong SQL skills for troubleshooting and performance tuning • Familiarity with DocumentDB and SQL Server is a plus • Experience with Zero-ETL architectures or similar data integration solutions • Ability to collaborate with end users and provide data support and training Nice to Have: • Experience building Power BI dashboards and visualizations • Background in data warehousing or business intelligence environments
