Role description
Data Modeler Location: London, UK (Hybrid – 2 days per week onsite) Contract: 6 Months Engagement: Inside IR35 Sector: Global Technology & Consulting Services We are seeking an experienced Data Modeler to join a high-profile AI & Data programme within a leading global technology and consulting organisation. This role offers the opportunity to work with business stakeholders, data owners, architects, and delivery teams to shape enterprise data models that support strategic data initiatives and business transformation programmes. This is an excellent opportunity for a Data Modeling specialist with strong stakeholder engagement skills and a deep understanding of data governance, data quality, and enterprise data architecture. Key Responsibilities • Collaborate with business representatives, data owners, end users, and technical teams to gather data requirements. • Facilitate workshops and discovery sessions to understand current and future data needs. • Develop, maintain, and enhance conceptual, logical, and physical data models. • Ensure data models align with business objectives and enterprise data strategies. • Drive best practices across data modeling standards, governance, and quality frameworks. • Work closely with Data Architects to design scalable and efficient data solutions. • Support the implementation of data taxonomy and metadata management practices. • Identify opportunities to improve data modeling processes and team effectiveness. • Provide expert guidance on data integrity, consistency, and quality initiatives. • Contribute to key project decisions across multiple teams and stakeholders. Required Skills & Experience • Extensive experience in Data Modelling Techniques and Methodologies. • Strong understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling. • Experience working within enterprise-scale AI, Data, Analytics, or Digital Transformation programmes. • Expertise in data governance, data quality frameworks, and data management best practices. • Knowledge of data taxonomy, metadata management, and data strategy principles. • Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills. • Ability to translate complex business requirements into robust data models. • Experience collaborating with Data Architects, Engineers, and Business Analysts. • Excellent communication and documentation skills. Desirable Experience • Experience supporting AI and advanced analytics initiatives. • Exposure to enterprise data platforms and modern cloud-based data ecosystems. • Experience working within consulting or large-scale transformation environments.
