Contract description
• Collaborate with scientists and domain experts to assess data flows and clarify insights needed across the data ecosystem.
• Analyze internal and external data sources, perform exploratory data analysis, and identify data quality issues.
• Develop and refine conceptual entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs) and validate models with stakeholders.
• Design scalable, performance-driven logical and physical data models that support governance and reuse.
• Partner with database administrators and integration teams to implement models and support ETL processes.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in data modeling, ideally within pharmaceutical, biotech, or scientific research environments.
• Strong understanding of ER modeling, data governance, and conceptual/logical/physical modeling techniques.
• Proficiency with data modeling tools and familiarity with AWS, Databricks, Redshift (preferred).
• Excellent communication and analytical skills with attention to data quality and stakeholder engagement.
• Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
