

Database Developer

Description
We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Database Developer in Canton, Massachusetts. The selected candidate will be a part of a team where they will be working with various technologies like Cloud Technologies, Database Object, Informatica, MapR, Microsoft SQL Server, and AB Testing. The role involves maintaining data integrity, developing and troubleshooting databases, and supporting the management of data across multiple systems.
Responsibilities
• Synchronize item data between different systems to ensure accurate and consistent product data transfer and updates.
• Manage and resolve data discrepancies between systems.
• Perform regular data audits to verify data integrity and ensure all records are accurate and up-to-date.
• Develop, maintain, and optimize databases using SQL and Visual Basic to ensure smooth data flow between platforms.
• Monitor and make necessary updates to data processing procedures to improve efficiency and prevent data errors.
• Administer the Data-Link system to maintain supplier and member information.
• Update and maintain supplier attributes, member attributes, and related data points.
• Troubleshoot and address data issues between the ERP system, Data-Link, and other related platforms.
• Provide support for ERP system integrations and maintenance, including data updates, and ensuring smooth operations across all systems.
• Develop and maintain Visual Basic scripts and applications for automation purposes.
• Work with cross-functional teams to optimize ERP system performance and data management processes.
Requirements
• Proficiency in Cloud Technologies is required for handling and managing data efficiently.
• Must have experience with Database Objects to ensure the integrity and security of the database.
• Knowledge of Informatica is necessary for data integration tasks.
• Familiarity with MapR for managing, processing, and analyzing large amounts of data.
• Proficient in using Microsoft SQL Server for developing, implementing, and maintaining database systems.
• Experience with AB Testing to optimize database performance and user experience.
• Understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) tools for converting raw data into meaningful information.
• Ability to create Business Requirement Documents detailing the business needs and expectations.
• Skill in creating dashboards for displaying data in a user-friendly manner.
• Ability to connect and manage various data sources for comprehensive data analysis.
