Our client is seeking an experienced and passionate DevOps Engineer with a focus on AWS to join their Product, Design, & Marketing Team. This role is critical in supporting their software development efforts. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in AWS services, particularly in storage solutions and S3 bucket management.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design, implement, and manage highly available and scalable systems on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
β’ Develop and implement automation for provisioning, configuring, deploying, and monitoring infrastructure components.
β’ Evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance system reliability, security, and performance.
β’ Resolve issues with AWS services such as VPC, EC2, IAM, S3, ASG, CloudWatch, Lambda, and Load Balancer.
β’ Lead initiatives to improve infrastructure and application monitoring, performance tuning, and disaster recovery processes.
β’ Collaborate with development and operations teams to efficiently troubleshoot issues across the entire stack.
β’ Evaluate and recommend cloud technologies, platforms, and tools to optimize performance, cost-efficiency, and resource utilization.
β’ Provide documentation, training, and support to other internal teams as needed.
Qualifications:
β’ BS in Computer Science with 5-7 years of experience, or MS plus 3-5 years of experience, or equivalent related experience.
β’ Extensive experience in delivering and operating services on AWS.
β’ Strong understanding of cloud security, scalability, and performance tuning.
β’ Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
β’ Strong understanding of DevOps and software/application development processes.
β’ Experience with containers and container orchestration platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, or equivalent.
β’ Solid understanding and experience with fundamental network technologies like DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, and HTTP.
β’ Excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently.
β’ Strong communication and collaboration skills.
β’ AWS Solutions Architect or other AWS certifications strongly preferred.
β’ Familiarity with render farm technologies and Deadline software is a plus.
Preferred Experience:
β’ Experience in developing and managing render farms on AWS.
β’ Hands-on experience with Deadline or similar render management software.
β’ Knowledge of scripting and automation tools to streamline AWS operations.
