Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Duck Creek Billing Business Analyst to join our insurance technology team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Duck Creek Billing, business analysis, stakeholder management, and insurance domain knowledge. This role involves gathering business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, supporting implementation projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable billing solutions for P&C insurance carriers.
The candidate should be comfortable working in a fully remote environment and coordinating with distributed teams across the US and Canada.
Key Responsibilities
• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements for Duck Creek Billing implementations and enhancements.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, product owners, developers, QA teams, and architects.
• Translate business requirements into user stories, process flows, BRDs, FRDs, and functional specifications.
• Conduct gap analysis between current and future-state business processes.
• Support configuration and implementation activities within Duck Creek Billing.
• Participate in workshops, requirement sessions, sprint planning, and UAT activities.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure successful integration with policy, claims, payment, and accounting systems.
• Assist in data mapping, reporting requirements, and billing workflows.
• Support defect triage, issue resolution, and post-production support activities.
• Ensure compliance with insurance industry standards and best practices.
• Provide documentation, training support, and knowledge transfer to business users.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance domain.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Duck Creek Billing.
• Strong understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance processes.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
• Expertise in requirement gathering, process modeling, and documentation.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with integrations, APIs, and system workflows.
• Familiarity with SQL, data analysis, and reporting is preferred.
• Experience working with distributed/remote teams across North America.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with other Duck Creek products such as Policy or Claims.
• Duck Creek certifications are a plus.
• Knowledge of insurance billing lifecycle, invoicing, collections, commissions, and payment processing.
• Exposure to cloud-based insurance platforms and digital transformation initiatives.
