Dynamics 365 Finance Data Migration Consultant (D365 to SAP) Remote - Must able to work Pacific Time Zone hours 6 month + contract to start • Contract is only open for 1099 or Corp-2-Corp. ( NO w2 contract) Our direct client is seeking an experienced Data Migration Consultant with strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) to lead data extraction and migration efforts to SAP S/4HANA. This role requires deep understanding of D365’s data structures, proficiency in using the Data Management Framework (DMF), and hands-on experience with data extraction, transformation, and validation to ensure clean and accurate migration to SAP. ( NO w2 contract) Key Responsibilities: • Lead and execute data extraction processes from D365 Finance for SAP migration • Design, configure, and run Data Management Framework (DMF) projects and data entities • Perform field mapping from D365 to SAP data models (including master and transactional data) • Coordinate with functional and SAP technical teams to define migration requirements • Cleanse, transform, and prepare data files for ingestion into SAP • Conduct data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks pre- and post-migration • Support mock migrations, cutover activities, and post-go-live data fixes • Document migration processes, scripts, issues, and resolutions Required Skills & Experience: • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations • Proven experience with DMF (Data Management Framework) and data entities • Strong background in data extraction and mapping from D365 • Experience migrating data from D365 to SAP (S/4HANA preferred) • Proficiency with SQL Server, Excel, Power Query, and other data transformation tools • Familiarity with SAP data structures, including master data (customers, vendors, GL accounts) and transactions (invoices, journals, balances) • Experience with ETL processes, tools (e.g., SSIS, KingswaySoft), and scripting (PowerShell or Python is a plus) • Understanding of financial data (GL, AR, AP, FA, etc.) Nice-to-Have Skills: • Experience in large enterprise data migrations • Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Power BI, or Logic Apps • Familiarity with LCS and SAP migration tools (e.g., SAP LTMC, BODS) Soft Skills: • Excellent communication and documentation skills • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities • Able to work independently and in cross-functional teams • Detail-oriented with strong focus on data accuracy Education & Certification: • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or related field • Microsoft D365 certifications (Finance or Technical) preferred • SAP Data Migration or SAP Finance certifications are a plus Contract is only open for 1099 or Corp-2-Corp.
