Data Coordinator/Analyst - Inventory
2 Month Contract
100% Remote

Position Summary:
We are seeking a Data Coordinator/Analyst to support a large-scale, wall-to-wall IT hardware inventory initiative across hospital and outpatient care locations for one of the nation's top 10 pediatric hospitals located in the greater Washington, DC area. Working as part of the project team alongside the Project Manager, Team Leads, and Inventory Technicians, this role plays a critical function in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of all device and peripheral data collected during the initiative. This project is a key preparatory step for the organizationβs upcoming Epic EHR implementation, requiring precise data management to support downstream integration into asset management and CMDB systems.
The Data Coordinator/Analyst will be responsible for aggregating, validating, cleansing, and reconciling inventory data received from field teams, ensuring consistency with established templates, naming conventions, and ServiceNow import requirements. This role will generate interim and final inventory reports, support discrepancy resolution with field leadership, and prepare data outputs for upload or integration into the clientβs CMDB, asset management system, or Epic environment.
Required Qualifications:
β’ Experience in data analysis, data coordination, IT asset management, or a related technical operations role
β’ Strong proficiency in Excel or similar tools for data validation, cleansing, and reporting, as well as experience exporting reports to system inventory source of truth (ServiceNow, etc.)
β’ Experience working with healthcare IT inventory data, CMDBs, and asset management systems (ServiceNow experience preferred)
β’ Ability to review, reconcile, and correct discrepancies, missing fields, or duplicate entries across large data sets.
β’ Understanding of IT hardware, end-user devices, and common asset categories
β’ Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow standardized templates, data structures, and naming conventions
β’ Effective communication and collaboration skills; able to coordinate with Project Manager, Team Leads, and field staff to resolve data issues
Scope of work & responsibilities:
β’ Manages aggregation, validation, and cleansing of all collected device and peripheral data from field teams that can be imported into ServiceNow.
β’ Ensures completeness, consistency, and accuracy of inventory data using standardized templates and naming conventions.
β’ Collaborates with the Project Manager and Team Leads to reconcile discrepancies and correct missing or duplicate entries.
β’ Generates interim and final inventory reports for client review, summarizing key metrics by location, department, and device type.
β’ Prepares data for upload or integration into the clientβs CMDB, asset management system, or Epic environment.
