Role description
Insight Global is seeking an Sr. IT Business Analyst for one of their premier energy trading clients in Houston, TX. This person will be supporting new IT projects within the Commodities Derivatives trading business and will be the liaison between the front office traders and technical teams.
Responsibilities include:
β’ Use technical skills to ensure business requirements are understood at all levels of delivery.
β’ Assist with troubleshooting and issue resolution across development, support, and technical business users.
β’ Serve as an subject matter expert for trading systems initiatives.
β’ Communicate effectively with business, development, QA, infrastructure, and production support teams.
β’ Analyse and map RFQ, order and trade lifecycles to help formulate solutions that will improve quality & efficiency across our trading systems.
Must Haves:
β’ Strong experience as an IT Business Analyst
β’ Strong experience in Commodity Trading & Price Risk Management or Capital Markets / Investment Banks β to bring credible externalisation of mindset and approach and ensure we are cost: value competitive
β’ Expertise within the Front Office trading domain
β’ Knowledge of full exchange-traded derivatives trade lifecycle
β’ Understanding of all major global futures exchanges
β’ Knowledge of market data providers (Bloomberg, Refinitiv, etc.) and liquidity aggregation platforms
β’ Understanding of financial regulations such as MiFID II, EMIR, and FCA guidelines.
β’ Knowledge of Third Party Networks and EMS/OMS software vendors. (e.g., TT, NYFIX, Bloomberg, TradingScreen)
β’ Understanding of trading lifecycle, including order capture & execution, allocation workflow, settlement, and compliance requirements
β’ Ability to work under demanding deadlines with changing priorities in a trading room environment
Pluses:
β’ Experience working with instrument static data and/or other Market Data systems & protocols experience in both Windows and Linux operating systems
β’ Experience in analysing and implementing regulatory initiatives (e.g. MIFID II, MAD/MAR)
β’ Solid relevant experience in FIX Engineering
β’ Hands-on experience in delivering scalable algorithmic trading technology in a compliant and flexible way.
β’ Experience of Algo regulation, audit and compliance (e.g. MIFID2 & RTS6) is highly desirable
β’ Experience with application support and vendor management
β’ Strong experience in exchange certification, application Deployment and support
β’ Technical skills in scripting, Python, PowerShell, C#, SQL or other programming languages#
