IT BUSINESS ANALYST
β’ Location: Enon, Ohio (Hybrid)
β’ Duration: 12-month contract to start with strong possibility of extension and/or conversion.
Description:
β’ The IT Business Analyst will support IT Operations with a focus on infrastructure reliability, risk management, and business continuity. This role will be responsible for contributing to Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) initiatives to ensure the continuous availability of enterprise systems and services. The Analyst will work closely with infrastructure, operations, and business teams to assess risks, define priorities, and help maintain reliable IT services that support essential business functions.
Responsibilities:
β’ Gather and analyze information for intake, approval, and prioritization of continuity initiatives.
β’ Partner with IT Operations to assess infrastructure and application recovery capabilities.
β’ Conduct Business Impact Analyses (BIA) and Risk Assessments to identify vulnerabilities and critical dependencies.
β’ Develop and maintain comprehensive BCP and DR documentation, including runbooks, system recovery sequencing, and recovery workflows.
β’ Coordinate and execute DR tests and simulations; document results and manage remediation efforts.
β’ Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to align recovery strategies with business and technical requirements.
β’ Ensure compliance with internal policies and external standards (e.g., ISO 22301, NIST, FFIEC).
β’ Maintain dashboards and performance metrics related to BCP and DR readiness.
β’ Support vendor and third-party assessments as they relate to continuity and recovery planning.
β’ Provide training and raise awareness among IT and business stakeholders on continuity planning protocols.
Required Skills
β’ Experience with infrastructure operations, risk management, and continuity planning.
β’ Hands-on experience with DR planning and execution, including strategy development, runbooks, and workflow documentation.
β’ Familiarity with cloud-based DR solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure Site Recovery, Oracle OCI/OCVS).
β’ Knowledge of IT Operations environments, including data centers, networking, and network security.
β’ Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
β’ Experience conducting BIA and risk assessments.
β’ Ability to collaborate across cross-functional IT and business teams.
β’ Familiarity with industry regulations and standards related to business continuity and recovery.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI or similar reporting tools.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
