SOFT's client located in New York, NY ( Hybrid ) is looking for a IT Procurement Analyst for a long term contract assignment. Procurement Support • Entering requisitions into PeopleSoft, including justification comments and ensuring sufficient budget exists prior to submission. • Tracking active IT contracts and ensuring renewals are processed without service interruptions. • Collaborating with IT and HQ Procurement staff to resolve issues and advise project teams. • Ensuring compliance with procurement, budget, and HR policies. Budget Support • Tracking planned and actual expenses; supporting annual accrual processes. • Working with Budget Managers to resolve variances. • Providing timely budget, procurement, and spend information. • Performing basic financial analysis and reporting. Human Resources Support • Tracking and supporting consultant/professional services engagements in Beeline Vendor Management System. • Entering PeopleSoft requisitions to fund consultant contracts/POs. • Assisting with onboarding new consultants and professional services resources. Required Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Public Administration, or equivalent, or 1–3 years of relevant experience. • Familiarity with PeopleSoft Procurement & Financial Modules, ServiceNow Asset/Contract Management, and Beeline Vendor Management System. • Basic knowledge of IT hardware, software, and equipment. • Strong MS Office skills or comparable applications; ability to learn new software quickly. • Ability to perform high-volume work accurately and independently. Preferred / Nice-to-Have Technical & Hard Skills • Advanced Excel & Data Analytics: Mastery of XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and Power Query; foundational SQL or Python for data extraction is a strong plus. • Data Visualization & BI: Experience building and maintaining interactive dashboards in Power BI, Tableau, or Looker to track infrastructure spend. • IT Financial Management (ITFM): Foundational understanding of CapEx/OpEx treatment, variable cloud billing models (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and SaaS license tracking. • Budgeting & Variance Analysis: Ability to manage rolling financial models, track actual spend against projections, and isolate cost variances. Soft & Interpersonal Skills • Data Storytelling: Ability to translate complex, transactional tech billing data into clear, actionable financial insights for non-finance IT managers. • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Comfortable acting as a diplomatic bridge between engineering teams and traditional corporate finance departments. • Meticulous Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for identifying billing anomalies, cost leaks, or double-billing within massive vendor invoices. • Agility & Adaptability: Highly resilient and quick to pivot when navigating shifting project scopes, budget reforecasts, or sudden vendor pricing changes
