LUMI Data Engineer

Role : Senior Data Engineer With AXP LUMI Location: Phoenix , AZ (Hybrid) Type: Contract We are seeking two highly skilled Senior Data Engineers with strong experience building big data solutions, GCP-based ETL pipelines, and Spark applications. The ideal candidates will bring strong problem-solving ability, clear communication skills, and a collaborative mindset. Experience with AXP LUMI is strongly preferred due to the time-sensitive and business-critical nature of the work. Core Technical Expertise • Hands-on experience building big data and analytics solutions using Spark, Python, shell scripting, and GCP services such as BigQuery, Airflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Kafka. • Strong expertise in designing, developing, and optimising large-scale data pipelines for data processing, transformation, and analytics workloads. • Advanced SQL and database skills, including data modelling, performance tuning, and scalable schema design. • Solid understanding of distributed systems, multi-tier architectures, algorithms, and relational database concepts. • Strong object-oriented programming skills and familiarity with software design patterns. Engineering and Delivery Practices • Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and source code management tools such as XLR, Jenkins, and Git. • Ability to contribute effectively in fast-paced, high-priority delivery environments while maintaining code quality and reliability. • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver critical data solutions.
