Role description
Ad Sales Research Manager
Position Overview
The Manager, Campaign Insights supports the execution and delivery of cross-platform campaign measurement and performance analysis across linear, digital, and social channels. This role partners with internal stakeholders, agencies, and clients to evaluate advertising effectiveness across the marketing funnel, delivering actionable insights that drive business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Analyze campaign performance data across linear, digital, and social platforms to evaluate full-funnel effectiveness (awareness, consideration, traffic, sales impact)
• Extract, clean, and interpret data from research tools, vendor dashboards, and datasets
• Develop client-ready presentations summarizing insights, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations
• Collaborate with internal teams, agencies, and external research vendors to execute measurement initiatives and ensure timely delivery of results
• Monitor campaign KPIs and identify optimization opportunities and best practices
• Support campaign measurement across tentpole events (e.g., sports programming, live events, major broadcasts)
• Manage project timelines, ensuring deadlines and milestones are met
• Assist in onboarding, training, and mentoring junior analysts
• Contribute to broader sales and measurement initiatives and cross-functional projects
• Partner with Insights & Measurement teams to address ad hoc analysis and reporting requests
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Marketing, Communications, Psychology, Media, Mathematics, Statistics, Marketing Analytics, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in media research, campaign measurement, or data analytics within:
• Broadcast or cable network
• Digital media/entertainment company
• Advertising agency
• Media research or analytics firm
• Experience with syndicated and custom brand measurement/attribution vendors (e.g., Kantar, Dynata, EDO, Marketcast, LiveRamp, Data Plus Math, iSpot, Circana)
• Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including data management and tagging
• Experience conducting qualitative and quantitative research (survey design, fielding, crosstabs, banner analysis)
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, data visualization); proficiency in PowerPoint and Word
• Strong data analysis, interpretation, and visualization capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in broadcast, cable, film studios, advertising agencies, or primary research vendors
• Familiarity with cross-platform campaign measurement and attribution methodologies
• Experience working with large datasets and data processing tools
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
