Role description
Role: Node.js Technical Lead / Architect Remote Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Node.js Architect/Technical Lead with strong hands-on development expertise in serverless applications on AWS. The candidate should possess deep knowledge of AWS cloud-native services, microservices architecture, and modern development best practices. Key Responsibilities • Develop, optimize, and maintain Node.js-based serverless applications using AWS Lambda. • Design and implement RESTful APIs and event-driven workflows using AWS services such as API Gateway, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, and EventBridge. • Build secure, scalable, and high-performance microservices. • Improve Lambda performance — cold start reduction, concurrency management, and cost optimization. • Work collaboratively with DevOps and cloud engineering teams to ensure smooth deployments. • Follow best practices in coding standards, testing, and cloud architecture. Required Skills • 8+ years of experience in Node.js / JavaScript (TypeScript preferred) • Strong expertise in AWS Lambda and serverless architecture • Hands-on experience with: • API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, SNS/SQS • Asynchronous programming (Promises, async/await) • Serverless frameworks (AWS SAM / CDK / Serverless Framework) • Good understanding of microservices and event-driven design patterns
