Oracle Database Application Analyst

Join our dynamic team as an Oracle Database Application Analyst, where you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing and maintaining financial reporting database applications. We're looking for a proactive individual to support our Actuarial department with both development and production tasks. Responsibilities • Enhance and maintain internal financial reporting database applications for life insurance. • Implement and improve processes for new and existing products, ensuring successful data warehouse operations. • Automate reporting requirements and create control processes for efficient data management. • Collaborate with business, finance, and technology teams to translate complex requirements into programming solutions. • Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for Oracle database applications. Skills • Proficiency in Oracle (11g/19c) including SQL, PL/SQL, SQL • Plus, and SQL • Loader. • Experience with Linux OS, including shell scripting. • Strong skills in TOAD for database management. • Advanced Excel capabilities, including VLookup and macros. • Excellent communication and organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude. Preferred Skills • Familiarity with scheduling tools like ESP/Stonebranch UAC. • Knowledge of MS-Access and Python. • Understanding of life insurance products and business processes. • Ability to manage multiple projects with a sense of urgency and adaptability.
