Role description
Role: Python Developer 📍 Location: McLean, VA (100% Onsite – Local candidates only) 🕒 Duration: 6 Months Contract Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer with 8–10 years of experience to join our team in McLean, VA. The ideal candidate will have strong automation expertise, hands-on experience with Atlassian tools, and deep knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Key Responsibilities • Develop and enhance automation scripts using Python and Groovy • Integrate JIRA APIs with Jenkins and other Atlassian tools • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory, and SonarQube • Customize and automate workflows in JIRA and Confluence • Work with Kubernetes (AWS EKS) for deployment and environment management • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive Agile and DevOps initiatives • Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot issues, and propose innovative solutions Required Skills & Experience • 8–10 years of professional experience in software development • Strong expertise in Python and Groovy scripting for automation • Hands-on experience with: • Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory, SonarQube • JIRA, Confluence, and Atlassian Suite APIs • JIRA API automation and integration with Jenkins • Kubernetes (AWS EKS) • Strong understanding of Agile and DevOps methodologies • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills • Ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders
