REMOTE ROLE: Senior Palantir Foundry Engineer

Pay: $90-95/hour W2. Our company offers our consultants a suite of benefits after a qualification period including health, vision, dental, life and disability insurance. This is a remote role. No expectation of onsite work expected unless candidates are in Atlanta, GA. The client would like local candidates to maintain a hybrid schedule. W2 Candidates only Job Description: • Develops and supports business application utilizing latest Big Data technologies in a Cloud based development environment. • Helps to define and analyze business requirements for Enterprise scale reports. • Analyzes and evaluates business use cases for data engineering problems and helps design and develop processing solutions with ETL Cloud based technologies. Key Functions/Responsibilities: • Create best practices in cloud-based data analytics technologies to collect and analyze large amounts of manufacturing data to advance the state of the art in efficiency optimization and predictive analytics. • Develop transformation data pipelines to curate and report on large-scale, Enterprise wide financial data supporting Business Analysts in analyzing and reporting to leadership. • Work with a team of software and data engineers focused on delivering a wide array of big data solutions using cutting edge technologies in both oversight and as practitioner. • Guide the organization in efficient data and resource management best practices with cloud-based data platforms and services. Technical Expertise • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or similar • Strong Software Engineering skills including full agile software development lifecycle including design, implementation, unit testing techniques and able to participate in peer review. • 6+ years of strong Data Engineering experience • Senior level experience w/ Palantir Foundry. • Experience with Hadoop-based technologies including, but not limited to: Hive, PySpark, etc. • Experience in one of the following programming languages: Python/Java • Experience with ETL concepts and able to demonstrate working knowledge in one ETL technology. • Experience with cloud-based data platforms and services. • Experience with NoSQL (HBase, MongoDB, etc) and RDBMS (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.) data stores. • Familiarity with source control systems, specifically Git • Good analytical and troubleshooting abilities. • Good communication abilities to interact with clients, internal and external customers. • Experience in the Manufacturing Industry highly desired.
