Role description
Seeking an experienced Software Engineer Lead to join the Enterprise Automation team supporting risk management initiatives. This role will focus on evaluating automation requests, determining appropriate automation platforms and tools, leading technical discussions, and supporting Agile delivery teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong automation expertise, leadership capabilities, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Candidates should be comfortable leading automation initiatives while also contributing hands-on technical support and light coding when needed. TECHNICAL SKILLS Must Have • Automation Anywhere • Microsoft Power Platform • Python or Java • Strong automation engineering and solution design experience • Experience leading or supporting enterprise automation initiatives • Ability to evaluate automation requests and recommend appropriate tools/platforms • Experience working within Agile environments and sprint-based delivery models Nice To Have • Gen AI experience • SharePoint • Jira • ServiceNow Responsibilities • Serve as the technical lead for incoming automation requests across the organization • Evaluate automation opportunities and determine the most appropriate automation tools and platforms • Lead meetings and technical discussions with business stakeholders and internal teams • Coordinate activities across multiple teams and ensure project alignment • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members • Perform light coding and technical implementation support as needed • Work within Agile teams and participate in two-week sprint cycles • Support enterprise risk management automation initiatives • Collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into automation solutions Team Environment The candidate will work within an Agile automation team operating in two-week sprint cycles. The environment is highly collaborative and business-focused, requiring frequent interaction with stakeholders across different lines of business. Required Soft Skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders • Strong leadership and coordination abilities • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Ability to work collaboratively in Agile team environments • Strong organizational and multitasking capabilities Education • High School Diploma with relevant professional experience required • Additional technical certifications or automation platform experience preferred
