Job Title: SAP Basis and BTP Engineer Position Type: 12-Month ContractLocation: Washington, DC (Onsite/Hybrid) Note: Any valid work visa (Who are authorized to work in USA) Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled SAP Basis and BTP Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. This role involves managing and optimizing SAP environments, integrating Business Technology Platform (BTP) solutions, and ensuring the security and efficiency of enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in system architecture, cloud infrastructure, and a broad range of IT technologies. This position offers an opportunity to work on innovative projects within a collaborative environment, supporting digital transformation initiatives across the organization. Job Description Key Responsibilities & Required Expertise Lead end-to-end SAP Basis administration, including installation, configuration, client copies, system refreshes, and establishing new DEV/QA/PROD landscapes for hybrid SAP environments. Plan, execute, and manage SAP system upgrades and maintenance, including Support Packs, Patches, Kernel upgrades, and OS/DB application updates to ensure security, compliance, and high system performance. Administer and optimize SAP HANA and traditional DB platforms (Oracle, SQL Server) and operating systems (Linux/Unix/Windows), ensuring stability and efficient resource utilization. Manage Transport Management System (TMS) across all SAP environments, ensuring smooth change deployment and audit-compliant transport processes. Monitor, analyze, and tune system performance at the SAP application, database, and OS layers to improve response time and overall reliability. Design and implement backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies, safeguarding business continuity and minimizing the risk of data loss. Configure and maintain SAP integrations, including RFC connections and third-party application interfaces for secure, seamless data flow across systems. Administer SAP BTP platform, overseeing global/subaccount setup, service provisioning, identity & security configurations, connectivity via SAP Cloud Connector, and SAP Integration Suite components. Support hybrid cloud architecture initiatives, enabling connectivity between on-premise systems and SAP cloud services while maintaining high availability and security. Collaborate with cross-functional project teams on cutover planning, deployment activities, production go-lives, and post-implementation support. Provide advanced Tier-3 support and knowledge transfer to Tier-2 support teams, ensuring strong documentation, troubleshooting, and operational readiness. Demonstrate strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder-management skills, maintaining a proactive, customer-focused mindset with continuous learning and improvement.
