Role description
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Business Systems & Data Analyst to support a major enterprise modernization initiative. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who excels at analyzing complex business systems, identifying gaps, defining requirements, and shaping technology solutions that align with organizational strategy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, business stakeholders, and technical groups to evaluate processes, translate needs into actionable requirements, and guide solution development. This position requires strong analytical thinking, excellent communication skills, and the ability to operate independently on complex assignments. Key Responsibilities β€’ Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems, processes, and user needs to define functional and technical requirements. β€’ Formulate system recommendations that align with overall business strategies. β€’ Drive business process reengineering efforts and identify innovative applications of technology to improve business operations. β€’ Lead and support industry-standard process mapping and documentation efforts. β€’ Prepare solution options, risk assessments, and financial analyses (cost/benefit, ROI, build vs. buy). β€’ Develop detailed documentation of user needs, program functions, workflows, and system modifications. β€’ Participate in software development reviews and provide guidance to team members in analysis, design, and testing. β€’ Support and participate in unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing. β€’ Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams including Architecture, Project Delivery, Application Support, and others. β€’ Conduct in-depth data analysis using raw data to identify insights, requirements, and performance trends. β€’ Support project management activities; PMP experience is a significant plus. Minimum Qualifications Required: β€’ 8+ years reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs. β€’ 8+ years with core business analysis practices, activities, and knowledge areas. β€’ 8+ years participating in software development reviews and offering expertise in analysis, design, and testing. β€’ 8+ years performing or supporting unit testing, system testing, and UAT. β€’ 8+ years planning, organizing, and managing multiple assignments with high accuracy. β€’ 8+ years working within software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies. β€’ 8+ years of strong verbal and written communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders. Preferred: β€’ Experience implementing case management systems. β€’ Experience with Jira for project and requirement tracking. Assignment Details β€’ Start Date: January 5, 2026 β€’ End Date: August 31, 2026 β€’ Hours: Up to 1512 total hours (extensions possible with mutual agreement) Work Hours & Location β€’ Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (excluding state holidays) β€’ Work Arrangement: Hybrid – Onsite & Remote
