Senior Data Analyst

Role: Senior Data Analyst Rate: $60/hour W2 Location: Atlanta, GA Schedule: Hybrid | EST Business Hours The Senior Data Analyst delivers actionable insights that guide strategy, planning, KPI development, and operational optimization. This role applies statistical methods, advanced analytics, and strong business acumen to identify key drivers and present strategic recommendations to leadership. The analyst operates as a key contributor in a complex environment, integrating business priorities with data-driven insights. Responsibilities Analytics & Insights Perform advanced analysis using large, complex datasets to influence stakeholder KPIs and objectives. Shape analytical methodology and baselining for recurring or similar projects. Apply industry-standard KPI measurement practices and assess statistical significance. Formulate and test hypotheses, evaluate alternatives, and deliver clear recommendations. Develop improved analytical methods for comparative analysis, forecasting, and planning. Data Management & Validation Use advanced SQL across multiple platforms to gather accurate, performance-optimized data. Own data source selection and methodology as SME for core systems of truth. Conduct validation checks, identify inconsistencies, and collaborate on corrective actions. Investigate and analyze root causes of data anomalies. Visualization & Storytelling Produce reports, dashboards, graphs, and presentations that clearly communicate insights and business drivers. Maintain strong narrative flow, visual clarity, and alignment with business strategy. Create multi-dimensional visuals tailored to stakeholder needs. Translate technical methods and analysis into clear, concise, audience-appropriate messaging. Polish all deliverables for clarity, grammar, brand standards, and completeness. Cross-Functional Partnership Collaborate with data quality and architecture teams to shape requirements and ensure data pipelines support business goals. Provide direction on quality issues and necessary adjustments. Participate in departmental work streams, training, and processes. Serve as a team lead on assigned work groups or cross-functional efforts. Business Acumen Use current and expected business performance to shape analysis requirements. Speak confidently about KPIs, baseline trends, dependent metrics, and performance shifts. Anticipate follow-up questions by understanding relationships among co-dependent KPIs. Project Management Independently develop and follow project plans. Communicate progress and roadblocks proactively. Maintain clear documentation on requirements, goals, methodology, and outputs. Initiate SME/POC reviews to ensure alignment. Use JIRA daily for task and project tracking. Professionalism & Engagement Promote a culture of excellence, data-driven decision-making, and actionable insights. Respond professionally to stakeholder feedback and follow meeting etiquette. Manage multiple projects with strong attention to detail and time management. Stay adaptable, proactive, and engaged in a collaborative environment. Maintain consistent attendance; nights/weekends as needed. Education & Experience Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA preferred. Fields: Business, BI, IS, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Math, Statistics. 4+ years of related experience.
