Senior Data Engineer Experience: 11+ Years Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid) Employment Type: W2 Long-Term Contract Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with 11+ years of experience in designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data platforms, data warehouses, and cloud-based data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in data engineering, ETL/ELT development, big data technologies, cloud platforms, and real-time data processing. Required Skills • Strong experience with Python, SQL, PySpark, Scala, Java • Expertise in Apache Spark, Hadoop, Hive, Kafka, Databricks • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery, Synapse • Strong knowledge of AWS (S3, Glue, EMR, Redshift, Lambda), Azure (ADF, Databricks, Synapse), and/or GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc) • Experience with ETL/ELT tools such as ADF, Informatica, Talend, dbt, Fivetran • Expertise in Data Warehousing, Data Lakes, Lakehouse Architecture, Data Modeling • Experience with Apache Airflow, workflow orchestration, and scheduling • Strong understanding of CI/CD, Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform • Experience implementing data governance, data quality, security, and compliance • Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, Looker, and analytics platforms • Experience supporting Machine Learning and AI data pipelines Responsibilities • Design, develop, and maintain scalable batch and real-time data pipelines. • Build and optimize cloud-native data platforms and data warehouses. • Develop ETL/ELT solutions for large-scale data integration and transformation. • Implement data models supporting analytics, reporting, and AI/ML workloads. • Optimize performance, scalability, reliability, and security of data systems. • Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, data scientists, and architects. • Lead data modernization, migration, and cloud transformation initiatives. • Establish best practices for data engineering, governance, and operational excellence. • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across projects. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. • Cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP) are preferred. • Experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Delta Lake, Data Mesh, and Lakehouse architectures is a plus.
