Role description
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Designing, developing, and unit testing a large data warehouse application that meets all of the clientβs business process requirements.
β’ Create complex SQL statements and embed within Ab Initio to deliver expected business results and
β’ Develop efficient, high-quality data integration code leveraging the most relevant features of Ab Initio.
β’ Interpret requirements, perform complex analyses, and present options and recommendations to obtain desired results.
β’ Create, update, and edit functional and technical design specifications and solutions to satisfy project requirements.
β’ Conduct unit testing and resolve issues discovered during testing.
β’ Assist with troubleshooting of system and application performance-related issues and recommend fixes.
β’ Documentation of the data movement schemes and mapping between applications.
β’ Ability to communicate efficiently and coordinate with onshore teams.
Required Skills:
β’ 15+ years of experience in ETL development.
β’ Demonstrable experience with Ab Initio components such as Rollup, Scan, join Partition by Key, Partition by Round Robin, Gather, Merge, Interleave, Lookup, and others.
β’ Experience in Ab Initio EME, GDE, parallelism techniques, Graphs using Data, Pipeline & Component parallelisms.
β’ Excellent SQL, UNIX shell scripting, and performance tuning skills.
β’ Understanding of Continuous-flow graphs and their implementation.
β’ Technical experience in design (mapping specifications, HLD, LLD), development (coding, unit testing) using Ab Initio.
β’ Experience with SQL database programming, SQL performance tuning, relational model analysis, and UNIX shell scripting.
β’ Strong expertise with data warehousing and data modeling, such as design of a data model for an EDW, mapping data, and running ETL jobs.
Desired Skills:
β’ Experience using Teradata or any other BI tools.
