Kforce has a client in Houston, TX that is seeking a highly experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer to design, develop, test, and support batch applications focused on commissions and amortization processes. Roles and Responsibilities: Application Development:
β’ Design and implement Oracle PL/SQL packages, stored procedures, functions, and database objects (tables, views, triggers, types, synonyms)
β’ Enhance or build new applications to generate commissions reports
β’ Collaborate with technical leads and analysts to gather requirements, create technical designs, and ensure alignment with coding standards
β’ Apply advanced Oracle features such as analytical functions, MERGE statements, partitioning, job logging, file handling, external tables, and exception handling
β’ Optimize performance through tuning and adherence to best practices
β’ Develop and test Unix scripts for secure file transfers (sFTP)
β’ Conduct thorough unit and system testing, ensuring accuracy against production benchmarks
β’ Maintain source code using SVN and follow established version control practices
β’ Prepare documentation for job scheduling tools and manage change requests
β’ Use ticketing systems to track and resolve issues and follow compliance protocols for code deployment
Requirements
β’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
β’ 15+ years in software development
β’ 12+ years of working with Oracle 12c or 19c
β’ 10+ years of hands-on Oracle PL/SQL development, including advanced features and performance tuning
β’ 5+ years in a data warehouse environment
β’ Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
β’ Proven ability to work effectively in a team setting
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
