Position: Splunk Developer – Observability
Location: United States – Remote
Skills Required:
• Experience in observability, data analysis, or related roles.
• Hands-on experience with Splunk and dashboard development.
• Strong expertise in Splunk dashboard development, including SPL (Search Processing Language).
• Proven ability to analyze data, identify patterns, and create meaningful visualizations.
• Experience working with both business and technical stakeholders to define metrics and KPIs.
• Solid understanding of observability concepts, including logging, metrics, and tracing.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of Firewalls, Load balancers and other infrastructural concepts.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.) is a plus.
Roles and Responsibility:
• Develop, design, and optimize Splunk dashboards to visualize key business and technical metrics.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies that can provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with application support personnel and other technical teams to understand reporting needs and translate them into effective visualizations.
• Develop reports and dashboards to gather logs across various applications in the workflow to track and monitor End-to-End process.
• Collaborate and guide application teams for adding appropriate logs for legacy applications.
• Work with various cross-functional teams, including Cybersecurity on data ingestion and maintenance activities.
• Implement best practices for dashboard performance, scalability, and usability.
• Work with logs, metrics, and traces to improve system observability.
• Automate data collection and dashboard updates for real-time monitoring.
• Create configurations to alert personnel of operationally relevant observability events.
• Provide recommendations for improving observability practices across the organization.
• Document processes, configurations, and best practices related to Splunk and observability solutions.
