Contract Technical Lead - Python 📍 Location: UK Remote (Must be UK based, with full right to work) 💼 Contract Type: £525pd INSIDE IR35 - Immediate Start Available WRK digital are delighted to be shortlisting for Contract Technical Leads with strong Python expertise to work on exciting new projects within dynamic, agile environments. This role is ideal for technical leaders who are passionate about Python and ready to take a hands-on technical lead role, guiding engineering decisions whilst staying close to the code. The Role You'll be providing technical direction across projects, guiding architectural decisions and ensuring best-practice engineering standards are maintained. This is an opportunity to mentor and support engineers of all levels, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture whilst remaining hands-on with development work. What You'll Be Doing • Provide technical leadership and direction across projects, shaping architectural decisions • Guide and mentor engineers of all levels, promoting best practices and collaborative working • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality applications using Python/Flask • Design and build robust REST APIs with a focus on scalability and maintainability • Work with PostgreSQL databases and cloud-native patterns across AWS and Azure • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Jenkins • Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform and CloudFormation on AWS • Work with Docker, container orchestration, and deployments across Azure and OpenShift • Foster a culture of quality where testing and code clarity are priorities • Collaborate effectively through pairing and mobbing scenarios We're particularly keen to speak with candidates who are immediately available or have a 1-2 week notice period. You must be comfortable working INSIDE IR35 for this engagement and be UK based for occasional travel to offices in Leeds or London.
