Vercel V0 Specialist

We are seeking an exceptional engineer to join our team, specializing in rapid product development using AI-assisted tools, specifically Vercel's v0. This role is centered on leveraging v0 as a force multiplier—quickly generating UIs, components, and code—and then applying high-level engineering skills to refine, integrate, and scale that output into robust, production-ready systems. The ideal candidate possesses a dual mastery: • Prompting Excellence: Knowing how to effectively guide and prompt v0 to produce high-quality React/Next.js code. • System Engineering: Understanding how to integrate with the complete surrounding architecture—APIs, backend logic, data models, infrastructure, and testing—to transition generated code into a reliable product. Key Responsibilities Rapid AI-Driven Development • Utilize Vercel v0 to generate application scaffolding, React components, layouts, and UIs. • Knowledge and expertise using Figma as a starting point for v0 designs • Significantly accelerate feature delivery by blending manual coding with intelligent refinement of AI-generated output. • Translate product specifications into effective v0 prompt strategies and component generation workflows. • Ensure that all generated code is iteratively edited and refined for maximum quality, performance, and maintainability. Full-Stack Integration & Architecture • Extend v0-generated frontend code with necessary business logic, authentication mechanisms, and external API integrations. • Implement robust backends using technologies like Next.js routes, Node.js, and serverless functions. • Maintain a coherent system architecture where both hand-written and AI-generated code function seamlessly. UI & Design System Alignment • Adjust v0 prompts and output to rigorously adhere to internal design systems, component standards (e.g., shadcn/ui), Tailwind conventions, and accessibility requirements. • Actively manage design tokens and component architecture to maintain brand consistency and UX quality. Workflow Optimization • Develop internal best practices, prompt libraries, and templates to maximize v0 efficiency across the engineering team. • Determine the optimal balance between manual coding and AI-generated output to ensure high velocity and long-term maintainability. • Stay current with new v0 features and integrate them into the engineering workflow. What You'll BringTechnical Depth • 5+ years of professional experience building modern web applications. • Expert-level proficiency in: • React / Next.js (including the Next.js App Router) • TypeScript • Tailwind CSS or similar utility-first frameworks • Comfortable working with: • REST/GraphQL APIs • Databases (Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or an ORM like Prisma is a plus) • Serverless functions or edge runtimes • Integrating various third-party services and APIs. • Prompt engineering for code generation, familiarity with shadcn/ui, and Vercel ecosystem experience (Edge Functions, Vercel KV/Postgres).
